Creation of Databases, Data Entry, and Data Checking
Faculty members are encouraged to consult with ORS staff early in the research process, ideally while designing measures or creating a survey for assistance with creating databases in Excel or SPSS. The ORS also provides basic data entry and data checking services, though each faculty member is responsible for developing the data-coding procedures.
To request assistance with creating a database or entering or checking data, submit a support request form to the ORS ( lrinfret@ufl.edu or HPNP 2201). The ORS will contact you to discuss the task requirements and arrange an appointment with an appropriate staff member or RA.
