Pilot Core

Specific aims of the Pilot Core

The specific aims of the Pilot Core are to

  1. Develop a system of mentoring support and faculty development programs that focus on enhancing investigators' knowledge and skills in biobehavioral research;
  2. Oversee implementation of four pilot or feasibility biobehavioral studies in year 1 and select and oversee two or more pilot or feasibility studies in each of years 2 and 3;
  3. Provide patient safety and data management oversight for funded studies;
  4. Facilitate dissemination of research findings among a variety of disciplines and among the public.

Administrative Core

Specific aims of the Administrative Core

The specific aims of the Administrative Core are to

  1. Ensure fiscal accountability and viability of the BRC;
  2. Develop and manage the shared resources of the BRC;
  3. Coordinate/support the educational programs offered by the Pilot Core and those offered outside the BRC;
  4. Coordinate evaluation activities in accordance with the Evaluation Plan;
  5. Disseminate/publicize information about BRC activities;
  6. Increase the number of faculty members and graduate students participating in BRC-sponsored research.
